WELCOME TO HIGHLY EVOLVED I know I know, you're probably thinking, "Good lorddddd that is the most unoriginal title ever." Actually, as I was searching for Vines sites, all I could see were "The Vines Unofficial UK Site Translated in Chinese" and what not, so I decided to name it after their album. Naming it after one song would not catch all the aspects of the band. Speaking of the band, this site is dedicated to quite possibly one of the greatest bands there are, The Vines. Their music is wonderful and very inspiring. I fell in love with their music over the summer of 2002 and eventually, it led to this web site. This site is more focused on Craig, however, because he is possibly my greatest influence and a huge inspiration to me. From the way he performs, to his views on music to the band's music and his passion for creating music/art..etc. It's great. I didn't want to make another site dedicated to just one person (Like my Rivers site) so I decided to cover the entire band. Anyway, kick back, relax and hope you enjoy the site. From DTI! Dreamin the Insane has reported that The Vines are currently in the studio again! They are currently recording demos for the third album. The Vines have 13 new songs and are working with the producer of "Give Up, Give Out, Give In" and "Drown the Baptists." For more information, you should drop by the lovely DTI.com. There's also an exclusive interview with Hamish on there. :) Yay!!! This totally made my day. And now, here it is on TheVines.com: THE VINES ARE BACK! After a year spent writing songs and rehearsing, The Vines have headed in to a Sydney studio with legendary Australian producer Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Youth Group) on Monday May 16th to record and mix demos for album number 3. Craig is in a great frame of mind and is healthier than he’s ever been. The band will demo 13 new songs which are sounding brilliant – mainly heavy, poppy and melodic plus two amazing acoustic numbers. The band are genuinely excited about being back together in the studio and can’t wait to see what comes out.
